Asbury’s Library is Live and Ready for Circulation
About our Library
When Pastor Roger Carlson retired he generously donated hundreds of books to the Asbury library. Then, Minister of Programs Kenan Habetler generously donated hundreds of books from his extensive collection. Other church members donated books. And our Bible study groups have donated leader guides and books from many different Bible studies they have done. We currently have over 1,500 books in our collection.
We have a treasure trove of books including:
- Bible commentaries and reference books,
- Bible study books for members who want to dig deeper into the Bible, and
- spiritual books to guide members through difficult parts of their life’s journey.
Be sure to click the Search Tips button at the bottom of the home page to get some suggestions for finding books of interest to you.
Platform
We cataloged the books using LibraryThing, an online cataloging service which feeds our TinyCat online library catalog. The TinyCat catalog allows patrons to browse, search, read reviews from Amazon and LibraryThing and place holds on books.
Circulation
Members can search online, and place holds on books. When you place a hold, we will pull the book and email you when it is available for pick-up. Books for pick-up may be picked up in the church office during regular office hours and on Sunday mornings. If you click the Place Hold button and don’t see your name on the pre-loaded patron list, close that window and click the Need an Account? Button and fill out the information to request a patron account.
Password
If you need the password to reserve a book, you can request it from the church office.
