Co-Coordinators: Karen Jackson, Hollie Richards, and Beth Vester

The role of Children's Ministry is to encourage a love and learning of Christ through fun, social activities where children are involved in our community of Christians.  Check out the photos below to literally see the exciting events going on!  Children's Ministry is a sub-committee of Family Ministry.

Education

Sunday school - Classes are divided into 3 age groups - age 4 through Kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, and grades 3, 4 and 5.  For more information on teachers' names and meeting locations follow this LINK

Children's Message & Celebration Church - During the 11:00 service (except for the first Sunday of the month), children are invited to the altar for a short lesson, and then children age 4 through grade 2 are welcome to attend Celebration Church, a kid-appropriate discussion and activity time related to a lesson on God.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) - It is a joyful week where children gather to learn about God with a new theme each year.  Follow this LINK to see what fun we had at ROAR VBS 2019.  And follow this LINK to hear the kids sing one of their VBS songs in church.

Special Events *

Child-centered events - The church offers numerous events throughout the year where children are the main participants, such as an interactive Christmas Eve service and pageant, Easter crafts and egg hunt on Palm Sunday, a games day in spring that is sponsored by the preschool (aka Family Fun Day), and Trunk or Treat in the fall.

Mission - Children are welcome to get involved by donating their old clothes to a fall Clothing Drive (and/or visit to get some clothes), and to help out with food drives, such as My Brother's Pantry.

* For updated dates and upcoming event details, please refer to the Announcements on the homepage.
