COVID Guidelines for Indoor Gatherings

Open/Close Status

As long as Anne Arundel County Public Schools remain open for in-person learning, Asbury’s building will remain open subject to the guidelines below. If Anne Arundel County Public Schools move to virtual learning only for children under 12, Asbury’s building will remain open only for vaccinated adults. If Anne Arundel County Public Schools move to an all virtual learning environment for all students, Asbury’s building will be closed.

Cleaning requirements will be determined by the level of community transmission. If the level of community transmission in Anne Arundel County is in the blue, yellow, or orange zone, rooms will be cleaned once a day. If the level of community transmission is in the red zone, additional cleaning will be required between groups using the same space. The level of community transmission is determined by the CDC. Follow this LINK and select state and county to determine the rate for Anne Arundel County.

Guidelines for Indoor Gatherings

The gathering leader is responsible for making sure guidelines are followed. To ensure that there is adequate cleaning and minimal contact between groups, please stick to your assigned room and meeting start and end times.

  • Stay home if you have had any known exposure to COVID-19 in the past 14 days or if you have had any symptoms in the past 7 days, or been in close contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms within the last 10 days.
  • Participants must use hand sanitizer upon entering building.
  • Adults and children over age 2 must wear a face covering regardless of vaccination status. (The only exception is for adult only groups that meet outside of the preschool/clubhouse operating hours. If the CDC threshold for Anne Arundel County is in the Blue or Yellow zone, the leader of the adult only group can decide the masking policy.)
  • Social distancing is required – a 3 feet bubble should be maintained.
  • Children must be supervised at all times and maintain social distance from non-family.
  • Only one person is permitted in the restroom at a time.
  • If food and drink is served, it should either be individualized pre-packaged servings or pre-plated by persons who are masked and gloved. Social distancing guidelines must be observed while masks are removed for eating/drinking.
  • Quiet singing and talking in unison is allowed while masked and socially distanced.
  • Minimize the sharing of common items (pens, balls, etc.). When engaging in tasks with shared items, all participants should sanitize hands immediately before and immediately after activity.
  • Playgrounds can only be used under direct adult supervision.
  • Do not linger or meet in common areas (hallways, lobby, etc.)
  • Minimize extra people entering the building when dropping off or picking up.
