Fisherman's Dance

This dance is held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM the second Friday of each month at Asbury.  Adults 18+ with developmental disabilities are welcome for a night of dancing and socializing with a DJ, light snack, and beverage.

The cost is $5 for participants and care givers are free.

Future Care Service

Asbury provides a monthly church service for residents of Future Care Chesapeake in Arnold on the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm.  

Start the Adventure in Reading (STAIR)

Asbury hosts the STAIR program for students from Arnold Elementary School.  STAIR is an educator-approved tutoring program that provides one-on-one support to AACPS first and second graders striving to achieve grade-level reading.  Tutoring sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Asbury church hosts meetings of AA, Alanon,  and Alateen each week. 

My Brothers Pantry

Asbury is a participating church in this food pantry that provides food to the hungry on the Broadneck peninsula.

SPAN

Asbury is a member church in this organization that assists neighbors with utility turn-offs, evictions, prescription/medical needs, and food.

Arundel House of Hope

Asbury is a member church in this organization that provides emergency, transitional, and permanent affordable housing for the poor and those experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County.  

Hope for All

Asbury is a partner church with this Christian ministry whose mission is to provide basic necessities (i.e. furniture, housewares, clothing, and personal items) to families and individuals without sufficient economic resources. 

Asbury Gives Catalog

Each year, Asbury UMC chooses 10-12 local organizations making a difference in our community and supports their efforts with financial and /or supply donations. In 2025, the Asbury Family raised over $10,200 for the following groups: 

Annapolis Immigration Justice Network, Asbury Good Samaritan Fund, Chores and More, Hope for All, My Brother's Pantry, Reconciling Ministries, SPAN (Serving People Across Neighborhoods, STAIR (Start the Adventure in Reading)and YWCA Domestic Violence Center.
