Be the Bridge is Asbury UMC Arnold's racial justice group that meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 pm on Zoom during the school year. We seek to create "brave spaces" for conversations about race and racism grounded in mutual respect. Our goal is to equip and empower people to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves. All are invited to join as we learn justice and equity.

Monday, September 25 @ 7:00 pm - Guest speaker Rev. Dr. Juaneva Jordan will share her story.
Dr. Juaneva S. Jordan was the 3rd daughter of 6 girls born to Obee and Leila Stephens in Orlando, Florida. She has always had a curiosity for learning and a passion for reading, which charted her educational path. She completed high school at the historical Jones High School in Orlando, FL. She traveled to Nashville, TN, against financial odds to meet her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Tennessee State University. Dr. Jordan holds a master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Guidance and Counseling and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University. She retired from the Palm Beach County School System after 30 years of dedicated service.
