Adult Ministries

Adult Forum is a hybrid class (in-person and Zoom) that meets on Sundays from 9:30 to 10:30 in the Hathorne Room.  The class discusses The Wired Word, an e-mail Bible lesson delivered to your inbox every Thursday. The lesson explores a current event using scriptural references and provocative discussion questions. This class is led by various members.  Newcomers are always welcome. Tuesday Evening Bible Study is a group that meets weekly to study a variety of scriptural programs. This is currently a hybrid class (in-person and Zoom) that meets from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the Hathorne Room.  The group is currently studying Revelation: Visions for the Church in Crisis - the study runs until December 14, 2021.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study, led by Ann Brady with help from class members, meets from 10:00 to 11:30 AM via Zoom.  The group is currently studying Amy-Jill Levine's Short Stories by Jesus - the study runs until October 14, 2021.  The next study will be Fail: What to Do When Things Go Wrong by Matt Miofsky and it begins October 20. 2021.

Asbury’s Book Discussion Group chooses 6 books each year and meets to discuss the books.  The books chosen for 2021 include:

Anxious People by Fredrik Backman, Mother Nature is Trying to Kill You by Dan Ruskin, The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Kline, Caste by Isabel Wilkerson, The Adventurer’s Son by Roman Dial (October 7, 2021), Becoming Duchess Goldblatt by Anonymous (December 2, 2021)

The group is open to newcomers and meets via Zoom at 7:30.  Contact Nancy Cody to be added to the Zoom invitation.
