Sign-ups for Winter Relief Volunteer Opportunities (2019/2020)

Asbury is hosting Winter Relief from Monday evening December 30 2019 through Monday morning January 6, 2020.  The Winter Relief is an emergency shelter for homeless men and women during the winter months.  The program provides so much more than shelter.  A breakfast, a lunch, a dinner, and community.

Think of blessings in our community  -  we all are needy, we all are blessed, and we all are giving.  Can you help us serve our community guests in this time of need and holiday?  The LINKS below will take you to SignUpGenius sites where you can view details of the help needed and can register to help.

NIGHT HOST Three separate shifts each night, 7:00 – 11:00 pm, 11:00 pm – 3:00 am, and 3:00 - 7:00 am.  And two daytime shifts on New Year's Day and Saturday and Sunday.  If you would like more information, a document outlining shift responsibilities is available. For questions contact the coordinator, Eric Bowman.

Prepare Meals & Snacks

  • DINNER & LUNCH (Dinner is served each day and lunch is served on New year's Day, Saturday, and Sunday.) Volunteers buy the food, cook and serve the meal, and take home all leftovers.  Lunch is served at 12:30 and dinner is served at 5:30.  For questions contact Hite Spencer.
